Originally called the Hyundai HND-3 Concept in 2007, the Veloster was the third design to come out of the Hyundai Design and Technical Center at Namyang in South Korea. The new look and 3 asymmetrical door passenger door configuration instantly intrigued car fans and critics alike, which helped to push it from a concept car to a Hyundai Premium Youth Lab (which is a Hyundai sub-brand overseas) production model within 4 years. The first production model of the Hyundai Veloster was shown to the motoring public and the international press at the Detroit Auto Show held in January 2011, and yet again it had pundits talking and the general audience clamouring for a closer look. From a safety perspective, the Hyundai Veloster has been on a roll since it was first launched, and within its first few months of production had already been awarded a 5-Star Euro NCAP Test Rating with a total of 101 points. Veloster Turbo Since 2012 Hyundai has produced a powerful version of the Veloster called the Veloster Turbo. This kammback turbocharged coupé uses the 1.6L T-GDi Gamma engine to great effect, and puts out a massive 150 kW of power and 265 NM of torque. This Veloster Turbo is by far the most in-demand Veloster on our used Hyundai showroom floors, so stock is often limited. As can be seen on this page all Used Hyundai Veloster Sports Cars stand out from the humdrum automotive crowd.
